Celebrating summer with an evening of song featuring talented soloists from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, English National Opera and Opera North, in aid of We Can Dance.

The Music for a Midsummer Evening Concert was a huge success and a stupendous evening was had by all. Our sincere thanks to the 5 artists, who gave their time completely free of charge, to The Gerogian Theatre Royal and to all those who supported the event. £3771 was raised and the committee are absolutely delighted as this will fund one whole years dance lessons for one of our special needs schools.

Graeme Danby, (bass and compere), Valerie Reid, (mezzo soprano), Sarah Fox, (soprano) and Austin Gunn, (tenor), accompanied by Anthony Kraus, performed a wonderful evening of music – from Lehrer to Lehar, Puccini to Flanders & Swann and everything in between.
