WeCanDance were honoured to be chosen as the charity partner for the 2025 Durham Dance Festival held on Saturday 25th January at the Durham University Students Union. Organised by the university's dance competition team, it was a packed day of events from dance workshops, to a fashion show and a fantastic evening showcase to premiere the team's forthcoming competition entries for the season ahead.
Throughout the day a stall to raise awareness of our local SEND dance charity was selling a variety of items: home baked cakes, handknitted "WeCanDancers", WeCanDance bags and pens, and a selection of dancewear.
Our Chair, Yvonne Nicholson, introduced the charity to a large audience at the evening show before showing a video of the work we do with local SEND children. Such great exposure for us.
